Not to confuse - but a 1099 that states over $300k to the driver?

    Yes, they’re here.

Don't you get some specialized owners are getting big bucks to move things, hh people do make good money because of the work involved.

Does this mean it's time to cue up the next one: how do I go about getting one of those 19 axle setups so I can do heavy haul??? I have 6 months dry van experience.......lol...

Yes landstar has profitable folks hauling for them. I view their large cut as where I can make more than what they pay out but less than what they charge the customer and come out ahead. Then again, I don't really compete with landstar. Basicly if you do say 3.00ttt @ 65%, they're charging 4.61, I see a lot of office expense where I have very little office overhead, why not go get that work for say 4.00 myself? It just seems like a heck of a big chunk off the top. Very inefficient office operations/greed is what it is to me. It does go to show that shippers are willing to pay for premium service. I just like my bigger slice.

blairandgretchen, Lepton1 and 77fib77 Thank this.

I know several one truck operators at LS that are way north of 300k on their 1099 and just run 5 axle. I could run that much but then I would have to work.
How are you going to get contracts with Boeing, Lockheed Martin, GE, NASA, and many more?
Or be like some of the megas and supply 3 to 5 trailers per power unit.

Every year for the past 4 years 5-6 drivers died alone on the back of their trucks.

You know what they do to you and your family? A fund raiser for your cremation or burial ceremony and a thank you card for your family with a smilely face on it.
