They're already vastly underpaid and get 25% of their pension, so... they're not used to much, if we're honest. Just the good company-paid insurance.

I can't stand what's happened at Yellow, even as it affected me a few years back at ABF (7% pay cut).

But at the end of the day, O'Brien is right. How long are we going to let this drag on? It's been 15 years.

A friend of mine is a business agent for Teamsters and has been for many years. When he talks about union stuff people tend to listen. Including me.
He says that Yellow should have been a dairy...the way they milk that cow for every drop reminds him of the old airline days when deregulation came in. You'd think it would have run dry by now but they keep staggering on.

And that’s probably has played as big as roll as poor management. Just my opinion though. I am not or have ever been with yrc or any union company

Understanding the game is simple. Follow the money. Trucking companies or unions...it doesn't matter. They act in their own best interests. They might give the impression that they're taking the working man into consideration but they only do it to the extent that it benefits them.

    Ohhhhh...the irony of it all...:p

Yellow....later disappears into the black....becuz they first went too much "into the red"...because their leader ("Do Nothing Darren"), in his "infinite wisdom"...actually went "yellow"...on the rest of the Team.

I certainly hope the above later proves inaccurate. o_O

After the drivers being forced to take pay cuts for around 15 years and work rule changes that benefited only management the board of directors handed themselves bonuses. O'Brien took this as a GIANT F.... YOU Yellow employee teamsters. The Teamsters at the local union halls agreed with O'Brien and vowed to put an end to lowering wages in the truck driving industry.

Nothing against anyone who works there, but I would love to see them go outta business. Just for the fact that they always seem to be in front of me when I'm in a hurry.....

But alas, there will just be another 65 mph left and center lane camping company to fill the void. Maybe J.B Hunt.....

I better stop, my therapist says I shouldn't think of these things, as it will extend my stay in the asylum...

Oh crap! Here she comes with that needle!!!!!
