Appreciated. Not sure how this is going to go for the short term. Ideally stash away some money and pay off a few things over the summer.
I already know how this will play out. Even if we make it another year, I am one of the first to get layed off again. Which is sad cause a few years back I was #51 out of 59 drivers. Those 8 extra spots gave me a lot of cushion. Now I am #37 out of 39 drivers. So yeah, this all went down over the course of 18 months.
Been applying at the mine just up the road from my workplace. I do have some heavy equipment experience tucked away from my military days. Hoping my resume was embellished enough to at least get a call from them.
So sad. Yellow is doing all of this. The regionals were always profitable. I've threatened to bring in a heat gun and peel off the Yellow stickers that they unceremoniously pasted over our USF Holland logos on all of our equipment. I really just want my old company back.

But the worst travesty is imho New Penn
Probably the most profitable highly regarded customers for decades and now green wagons have Yellow stickers on em
There freight volume is off over 50% this year because of the bad reputation Yaller has in the NE
What a #### shame -
Yrc screws up everything they touch !

When I went by the Fargo barn today, only 7 cars in the parking lot. There is usually 15-20.
The drop lot is chock full of trailers and trucks. Layoffs have begun for those guys here.
We’ve picked up a few diversions for them, and I think Magnum has as well.
Really sad in a way….ducnut, road_runner, Siinman and 1 other person Thank this. -

Let me ask you something (and this is rhetorical). How slow.does a company have to be when they can afford to spare unused equipment from New England all the way into the deep South to a sister company? I mean, we got their green trucks all the way in Augusta, Georgia.
I guarantee their green paint is going to flake off before the company goes bankrupt. I highly doubt their equipment is designed to withstand 115° heat. This is as true as I sit here, I promise you that much.
This is from my yard.

I wonder how many dry vans does Yellow have. If the company goes down, thats a lot of equipment getting into used market
