Yellow Freight closure thread

well, i had said something about not reopening after the 4th of July long weekend.

they went a tiny bit further than that.

best of luck, @road_runner and others, you will all get better jobs soon.

my "best advice", is to stay away from multi-conglomerate trucking companies.

They're blaming the Teamsters for this? Their incompetent management is what got them in this situation in the first place. I mean yes, they did nothing to help the situation, but I can't blame them. They've yet Yellow drag them through the mud long enough until someone said we ain't putting up with this crap anymore

 

I live very close to the yrc terminal in omaha and will be home Tuesday for a 7 day vacation, I'll take a drive by there next week and report what I see .

 

Same there's a YRC terminal here in Salina.

 

I might drive by Monday the KC Terminal as well see how it looks. Was seeing some of the freight from it going on boards today trying to get the last bit out. I did not want any part of it since no telling how messed up it would be.

 

Theyre still getting all the drivers out where I am

 

I saw one of their trucks running around Missoula today. Must be just cleanup work?

 

Picking up mtys is my understanding

 

My terminal is down the street from both the Yellow and Reddaway terminals, I'll swing by Sunday night when I clock out.
