As I approach the bridge on the frontage road somehow I went into panic mode. With no time to think about anything, just react. As I braced myself for impact I pushed the brake as hard as I could, pushed in the clutch, shoved it in neutral. Everything in the sleeper was now in the front and some smoke is surrounding the outside of the truck. My co driver is picking himself up off the floor and looking around trying to figure out what happen. I told him I almost hit the bridge. He asks me what makes you think you will hit the bridge. I pointed at the sign that clearly shows the clearance is only 16ft 3in. He says yea but the truck clearance is 13ft. 6in.
You can't beat this one
