Love it here. You can make more money elsewhere but not with the hometime you get here. Only can speak for the Kingsport terminal.

Pros

Decent pay, great hometime and equipment.

Cons

Like every driver on earth more money would be nice but I'm not complaining.

This place is great for the fuel hauling industry. I was brand new and averaged 1800-1900 gross a week. You have to work or you won’t make that but if your a hard worker it will come like my tm told me.

Pros

Great money. Home every night. They pay you for every little thing you do.

Cons

Equipment could be a little better but who cares great company.

I am an ex dispatcher for eagle in atlanta. All I can say is yes they are a great company unless you or a family member gets really sick and you miss a couple days in a row. Then watch your back they will starve you out!!!!!!!!

Eagle Transport (Gas Haulers)

Hey every one I have been lurking on this website for about a year now. I was working for a Company that ran under the Associated Petroleum Carriers, (APC) Flag, hauling gas. I didn't post because I just didn't have anything good or bad to say about the Company. I worked real lomg hours but maid enough to make a living.

I now work for Eagle Tranport Corp, I work on Average 10.5 hours a night 6 nights a week,, I choose to run nights because it is easier to get in and out of the loading rack. It also helps that Eagle pays me extra to run nights. I don't kill myself and still make over a thousand a week. I am retired military so I am tickeled pink with that kind of money.

Eagle Transport (Gas Haulers)

I am a gas hauler, I have worked for eagle. They pay percentage. It's like this.... they get $450.00 to go from tampa to ft myers...they will pay you 26-28 percent of the load....or about $95-$100+ for that trip, they have set tables for each trip, long, medium and local in town deliveries....local in town can pay you from $25-40+ dollars.

Also the table is set by the customer type also, there are some cheapo stations they serve for the work, that pay a little less.

You also have to factor in the waiting time at the "rack".....on a good day

in and out in about a half hour....on a bad day....it can take hours to load, like when the rack crashes...or heavy traffic loading...night time is the best time to work....less traffic at the racks and on the highways and streets.....

I hope this helped out..I am about to go back to hauling gas,it's a pain in the butt sometimes, but you are home every night, and sleep in your bed.

Can't beat that!

watch yourself, if youre new to hauling gas, newbies will make mistakes, and eagle will put in your record incidents as accidents. when you leave it will hinder you from getting on another gas job and they will hurt you in the area in other tanker jobs. i know at least 9 drivers who left and 3 or 4 years later eagle still hurt them.. i talked with the hr person at eagle and told her she is keeping drivers from getting good jobs at she became short with me and said she could care less. in this business you will mess up everyone does .... just beware of eagles policies.. also i have 2 black friends who currently work there now , when a management job came open these two who are highly quilified were never even looked at so they discriminate also by the way im white.....
