Jordan Carriers reviews

Applied for a flatbed trucking position at Jordan Carriers. They reviewed my resume. Then decided they liked what they seen and brought me in.. Then, after wasting 2 weeks of my life and a long uncomfortable bus ride (there and back about 16 hours), just to send me home saying "you need more experience". You had all that info on my resume I submitted BEFORE bringing me to the recruit center. To send me home based off that same info is bull! I wouldn't drive for them. That shows that they don't value your time.

Jordan carriers, hmm where to begin.... First let me say, this is in no way directed to the hard working drivers, trainers, dispatch, and people within Jordan carriers that do their jobs to their fullest abilities and take pride in the work they do contributing to the trucking industry from their positions. That being said I emphatically advise any and all experienced flatbed or experienced drivers in brother industries to steer far and clear away from Jordan carriers. That is if you are a respected and respecting member of trucking society. People/problem solving abilities at this company..... rare. Not only do the front office ie: compliance office not know how to communicate their needs and values, but will make attempts at doing so in the most undermining and degrading way, im sure spawns from a very low world education, as they can muster. Company lacks basic abilities to coach or advise drivers in other ways than degrading them. Force dispatch. Not the fault or intention of the unknowing dispatchers they have hired to make contact with their drivers- they are only doing as directed (attitude reflects leadership). However dispatchers lack the adequate ability to meet both company and driver needs in giving situations regarding "home time" vs predetermined contracted load demands. Meaning, between the driver being in a location on a Friday and could take a load bringing them closer to their homes vs a load Jordan will make more money going in a different and often opposite direction, they will choose the later. Placing the driver in positions bringing them home late Saturday night or often not at all. Probationary period awaits all new drivers, regardless if your experienced or not. Doesn't sound all that bad until you realize that this means they will quickly let you go or find ways to try to punish the driver should you do something that doesn't please them for the first 90 days of service. Me personally, I did not have this problem, but met many drivers I kept in contact with from orientation and still talk to today that explained their situations to me for being released by Jordan. Probation period includes a non rider policy, pet or human, zero late deliveries for whatever reason, zero sick or emergency home situations, zero 11 or 14 hour violations (understandable in some ways), and photographs of all securements of loads( also understandable). Violating any of these during your Probation period will either subject a driver regardless of the situation to disrespectful phone conversations and or leading to terminations which will be followed by a charge back of the cost of your rental car that brought you to Jordan and the 2 star hotel they keep you in while in orientation, also the food cost that they paid for feeding you while you stayed at orientation for the 7 strait days you where there. A grand total equaling no less than $772 dollar out of your last settlement before you were let go. Again, this was not my circumstance, but I have the receipts left to me by other drivers I stayed close to after our "Jordan experience". Pay, you will work very hard for your $1600-$1900 checks (company side) or your $1800-$3500 checks (lease purchase side)* if you are one of the lucky 1s to get the lease purchase program which they hold on to as some sort of twisted privilege from drivers who have experience and forgotten more flatbed knowledge than the compliance and front office even knows themselves. However in reflection of having been at other companies this pay is NOT very impressive considering the amount of attention and work you will do to earn such amounts. A lil secret, you can earn that PLUS much more elsewhere in the same positions. Again I have receipts in case you believe I'm just hating or talking. Basic breakdown and review of Jordan carriers, this is a company you come directly out of school and work for because you can get no better experience with better companies as they won't hire you based off of your lack of experience. Come to Jordan and get your months of experience so that you can get a real Job

They are crooks..worked there 3 months with no check..kept saying it was in the mail..was forced to call Ms labor commission to get anything..do your research on them before wasting your time..you'll regret working there.!

Beware of people in certain positions of "power". As a driver trainer, if you do not cater to every whim and fancy of each trainee you get..meaning if he whines and cries to go home because he hasn't seen his family in 10 days, 13 hours, and 43 minutes..get him home. It doesn't matter if you've been with the company for years. It doesn't matter if you're one of the hardest running drivers. None of that matters. Politics have entered the chat. Everyone is offended cry babies. And discrimination will determine everything here.

Great pay and bonuses if you do your job properly. Starting at 55 cent. I mostly operate in the south but every once in a while I'll go north.
