WalMart drivers word to the wise...

Every flippin time someone mentions being home every night, someone else posts ypu have to work 12-14 hour days. IT IS JUST SIMPLY NOT TRUE

 

That’s the mentality of Wal Mart coolies. They think other good driving jobs simply don’t exist. Yet every time I open my Facebook there’s yet another stupid retarded WMT recruiting ad in my face. I hauled enough junk freight into their DC’s before I wised up and started pulling tanks, to know that’s not a company I would ever be associated with.

Who in their right mind would slip seat a sleeper truck? That’s just disgusting, keep your $42 dollars a night.

 

I agree. Our fuel trucks and pneumatics are usually dispatched for a 12 hour shift. It's very seldom that they run over 12 or even approach it.
Most of the time the truck is back in the yard in 9 or 10 hours.
The one exception to this might be during fire season but even then we usually find a way to get another driver on the truck before his hours get excessive.
Why burn out good drivers if you don't have to?

 

I start at 4AM, 95% of the time I'm done by 1:30, I'm in a daycab.

 

Hush up you! Yes it is! Don't pay any attention to this yahoo everyone. He's been running a fever and is delirious. There is no such thing as a good local job where you:

- Drive an ungoverned Pete 389
- Work Monday - Friday
- RARELY work more than 10 hours a day, less than that a lot of days
- Paid for EVERYTHING you do
- Paid vacation and sick leave

It doesn't exist! It's a unicorn. It's just a dream I've been doing it for years now.

Granddaughter's husband is with RedBull in Albany NY. Starts at 4 AM and out by 2 PM. Oversees distribution getting out. Moving into the third party distributor management. Good pay, odd hours.

 

I think that's one of Frank's cousins.....
