What I know after 3+ years with Crete.
As long as I am operating safely, and am making on time delivery, they don’t bother me.
I have been contacted by safety once for a random, and my home terminal once to ask if I had any problems.

    WesternPlains and Farmerbob1 Thank this.

Well, I am an o/o for Crete for the last year, but was a company driver for two years with them before that.

I helped a guy lose a hood mirror in a really tight dock yard after a year or so with Crete. They complained at me and had me take a driver safety class.

As for the office people you interact with, I have never caught them in a lie, or had any of them be more than justifiably irritated on the phone with me. Sometimes I do not like what they tell me, but sometimes they don't like what I tell them either.

I would go as far as saying that Crete might be the best Mega carrier to work for as a company driver.

Any decent driver on a solid dedicated account can likely match or nearly match Wally World dedicated drivers, provided CPM rates are based off near-equivalent base driving experience wages. I made 66k OTR on the Mars account during my third year of driving, second year with Crete. I think a 10-year driver would have made well over 70k for the same work that year.

Crete tells you what route to take on each load. Most of the time it is to avoid tolls. If you take a toll road that isnt on their route instructions, that toll $ is taken out of your paycheck. They also tell you where to buy fuel for each load and how many gallons to put in. They really want every driver to be on a C Pap machine. They really want all communication with your asset manager to be done over people net. [PEOPLENET SUCKS DONKEY DONGS]. it is up to you to be selective about the loads they offer you. Choose the wrong loads and you will do a lot of sitting still and waiting.
It takes a little while to learn how to play their game. Hope this helps.

Megas that won't use toll roads are just a joke , I get it if you drive for a 3 truck operation but for a trucking company that big is unacceptable , you already want your driver's to have a heat stroke for not being able to idle, now you want us to take the back roads?

What toll roads are excluded? All, most, certain segments if there is a "viable" alternative?

It varies on each load. The load I'm on right now from NJ to NE is a straight shot on I-80 and they routed me all the way, tolls and all, for this trip. Next trip, I may be instructed to avoid I-80 all together.
