First year out it was work boots. I eventually got disgusted with all the stuff I kept tracking into my “home”.

After tracking a large amount of dog crap into my truck one day, I knew I had to make a change.

I won’t stoop to wearing flip flops, but I now use a pair of laceless shoes that can easily be slipped on and off. They never make past the entryway of my door, and I drive barefoot.

I also keep a small broom and a bottle of Lysol behind the drivers seat to keep clean the floor Incase any particles get tracked in.

I still feel sloppy sometimes with those slip on shoes when walking into a receiver. However it is a trade off I have made because it is too impractical to wear laced shoes and keep the truck clean when having to get in and out of the truck at a stop.

Work boots, preferably without any type of toe guard. Sketchers has a very nice selection of work boots.

Even if you don’t like wearing work boots, carry some with you in case they won’t let you into a shipper/receiver or inside the dock. Some mega companies have certain requirements for footwear.
