I not sure that is it . We were all told, the camera lens on tablet was disabled, but told to put tape on it just in case it got hacked

I am not saying company policy for newcomers has not changed. As an o/o I am not in that loop, or even next to it.

I would suggest that you contact the Safety department directly to confirm the policy.

If you went through orientation, you should have that number. If not, send me a PM and I will poke around and find it for you.

If you do verify with Safety that it is actually true, please let me know. I do not want to tell future potential drivers things that are not true.

If I can remember to check myself on Monday, I will, but don't count on me to remember if you want to be sure.

NOBODY should EVER rely on info from a recruiter. Recruiters are not authorized to make guarantees.

NEVER work for a company until you have spoken to current drivers working at the company doing the type of work you are being hired to do. If the company wants you to work for them they will put a driver or trainer in contact with you.

You might as well join the Army and tell your Drill Instructor "my recruiter said I could sleep until 9am and have Saturdays off."

Drivers with years of experience? Sure.

15mo of total experience and new to a company? Meh. Their truck their rules.

It must be something new if they are requiring it now...I started two years ago and have never had one in my trucks.

That's a big thing too if a company doesn't use that camera to act like a skeevy perv than it's it's hardly noticable

Sometimes I feel like I entered the twilight zone...
No one is hiring right now. But, hey! Let's make a stink about how companies set up their own equipment. And h3ll with it.
