1) Outside of the paycheck, how do you like working for Pam?
2) Are the drivers treated decently?
3) Are the drivers getting decent miles?
4) Is Pam safety conscious? Is the company good about making sure that the drivers are NOT running over their hours?
5) When payday comes, are the drivers being paid for ALL of their miles, detention and layover times?
6) Is there direct deposit for the drivers? How often do the drivers get paid, (weekly or bi-weekly)?
God bless every American and their families! God bless the U.S.A.!

2. Depends on if you have a good driver manager or not . Some really nice DMs that always keep you running and some other ones who are quite abrasive and don't answer messages with much urgency.
3. Not If you're a regular driver. If you're on a dedicated route you probably are.
4. Sometimes they try to make you do stuff really late into your clock but most of the time they won't make you get close to HOS violation (again depends highly on your driver manager ) . Personally if I have less than 3 hrs or so left on my clock I say I'm not doing anything until the next day unless the pickup is right next door or something.
5. They're supposed to but it's annoying as hell you have to request detention and layover every time and it's not great pay wise
6. You can set up direct deposit if you don't they just load it on your comdata card paid weekly in both cases -
Hell even I've been getting offers for .47 + cpm starting pay and bonuses. I doubt I'll be here long either. -
Jbs paid me $600 wk in training then .45 mile after that . Not bad if you ask me -
It's disrespectful to pay a driver anything less than .40 in 2020.
Really I don't agree with the cpm system in general. In reality we end up working 10-14 hr days and only get paid for certain parts of it. Drivers should be salaried or make at least 10 bucks/hr for any on duty time.
There should be some sort of premium for OTR drivers because we're literally living on the job for weeks on end . -

The 2 companies I have talked with, one is van one is Flatbed are offering .44cpm and .43cpm respectively and both have tuition reimbursement for my CDL. The Flatbed company is like 6 weeks altogether training and of course you learn the flatbed arts, and 800 a week. The Van company is tiered and LONG training...600 a week for 10K Miles, pass that then 700 a week for 20K Miles...Probably TWICE as long training in a truck with someone else....
So the FB pays more in training, a cent less hired on but you get paid for tarping, untarping, layovers, border crossings, overside loads and a bunch of other stuff....BUT it's 48 states, OTR.......The Van company is Western 11 regional, out 5-7 then home, a cent a mile more...
I want to start on the best paying track I can so that's why I looked into Flatbed. Maybe I should see what chemical tankers pay? I absolutely want to pull the best paying trailers. That is my sole purpose in trucking.
