Go into the reefer to cool off? loads are sealed, break the seal and start a whole lot of problems getting the load unloaded.

This is a process I did hundreds of times across four different carriers. I always went inside and got the fee, then walked outside back to my QC and send a message to my carrier. About 10 minutes later I had a comcheck/EFS code and then went inside paid the head lumper and walked out. All I had to do to avoid having my pay affected was make sure I scanned the receipt. I'm having a hard time understanding why you would need to be reimbursed?slow.rider, SoulScream84 and tarmadilo Thank this.

Just tell them you got hot and needed to cool off.
They will understandJolliRoger Thanks this. -
I have to admit, opening the doors on a -10 load when it's 100 degrees out is pure bliss.slow.rider, SoulScream84 and JolliRoger Thank this.

Strange how you can sleep soundly with an old Thermo King clanking along but when it tried to restart it did not turn 3 times before you were awake to check. That's trucking... Variations.

Yep. I might also add before I got in my bunk I would open my curtain about 6 inches from the wall between the wall and my seat. This was after pulling my California mirror in enough so I could see my reefer control unit. Sounds funny, but all I had to do was raise up and look. I knew instantly if I needed to get all the way up or not. My last carrier our reefers were so old you learned to not take anything for granted.slow.rider Thanks this.

A man after my own heart... Lotsa opportunity around, just have to be proactive.
Seems like some of he present generation of drivers are a little slow on the uptake.slow.rider and Chinatown Thank this. -
What do you do when you see a reefer on fire?
You look for this guy, he won’t be hard to find, but you better hurry before he goes to bed. -
I live in North Carolina but honestly I could relocate anywhere. I've been stuck in NC for 25 years it might do me some good to experience living somewhere else .slow.rider Thanks this.

It was a joke dude I thought you guys would see the funny side to that? And it shows if you've actually read the whole message or not Huh? And actually when your unloading one does get to stand in the reefer, after the seal is brokenslow.rider Thanks this.
