Simple answer - no.
I do it myself, I know not all can do so.
Best bet is find a trustworthy independent.
Do you trust Speedco?

There is an oil change place across from the Flying J at exit 64 on I-45 in Houston that does an oil change for less than $200. In and out within 30 minutes.
Stay away from that Loves in Columbia SC. It took 3 guys forever to put an oil filter on and 2 days later the seal broke.Rideandrepair and D.Tibbitt Thank this. -
I trust Speedco but only because they let me hang out in the bay and watch the work. They are the fastest at doing an oil change by a large margin too. Try going to a Petro/TA or a dealer and you’ll be lucky if it only takes 4 hours. Yeah it sucks that you have to watch them like a hawk but sometimes you’ll find some decent workers that know what they’re doing

No more Speedco,TA, Petro
I had problems in TA ,in GA damaged my fuel filter housing, in Petro Brazil IN they did not tighten the filters, lost most oil quickly as i moved out of the shop.
In many locations they always have rookies teens , in training on your truck, maybe because they don't pay much, good experienced technicians won't stay.
Years ago , i paid almost +500$ for synthetic oil change during winter at Speedco. After few days cold starting, the oils was gushing out around the filters , never happened with synthetic if filter are tighten properly .So, i did an oil analysis, and the response was the oil does not mach the synthetic oil specifications. I don't trust bulk oil from lube shops, for over 14 years i buy my oil by gallon or 5 gallon buckets from Wall Mart,Rural,King Canadian Tire take it to my trusty mechanic.Last edited: Jan 9, 2021

No ! ...I dont trust any road shop with anything more than emergency work anymore and haven't for a long time .
They employ people that don't give a squat due mostly to low pay .
Have all my work done at my home shop .Rideandrepair and 86scotty Thank this. -
You had to reprime it every time.shatteredsquare Thanks this. -
Speedco can work if you stay with your truck and keep an eye on them. I’ve had decent luck with them. Not perfect for sure. I actually just switched to a local shop that comes out and does it remotely. Same exact price.
Some are better then others for sure. Either way stand over them and keep an eye out.Rideandrepair, TheDudeAbides, Muddydog79 and 1 other person Thank this. -
