I know. The cameras are a deal breaker for me too, but they came down with the policy while I was already on. I had no reason to give up on this company because of cameras. They will take them out in LP trucks.
Leave the reefer on continuous and you won't have that issue. I've found reefer work to be very fulfilling compared to van freight.

Of course, I don’t think it can pick me up anyway, but just to be on the safe side...
p.s. On another note, I’m enjoying a libation and watching “Interview with a Vampire”. What a crock! If they wanted the truth, they should’ve looked me up. Then again, if they were a Kentuckian, the movie would likely not have been made.Lonesome, hotrod1653, Speed_Drums and 1 other person Thank this. -

Well, slated to start orientation on the 2nd, which is a Tuesday. They'll get me a rental on Saturday, and I'll have 3 days to go a whopping 935 miles, and end up in a paid for hotel room for Monday. They'll get me into a truck on the first day, and I'll spend the rest of orientation in the truck. Looking like I'll get either a KW or Freightliner, tho I was hoping for an older Volvo like I had last time. Looking on the bright side... I won't feel cramped in the top bunk; nor will I have to descend a ladder to take a whiz. My neck will assuredly thank me.
I'm looking forward to long treks from Atlanta to SLC, and Minnesota to SoCal again. 3 or 4 day trips means I won't have to spend a lot of time driving into the night. Starting out the day at 3 or 4 in the morning isn't the problem. But if I've been driving all day, once 11pm hits, I have to call it quits. I like when a company lets me drive how my body allows me to.Speed_Drums and Lonesome Thank this. -
Sitting in the yard in my new older truck. 2018 FL w/ 475k on it. Runs nice and doesn't look like most fleet trucks with that much on them. Body looks great, and inside was detailed. I hate how the armrests get shredded at the end, probably from drivers using them to hoist up their butts out of the seat. That's the only thing cosmetically wrong with it.
We had our choice of a Volvo, KW, or FL... one each. I let the other two gents in orientation choose first, as both had their wives with them. I would've been fine with anything. Actually glad I got the FL. I wanted a regular bunk. Tired of climbing ladders in the Volvo, tho the ride is phenom in them!
Had to bobtail to Albertville, MN to pick up a rental trailer. GP ordered a bunch of new trailers, but apparently everyone else did as well.
I'm not sure how to handle giving out load info (pu and del locations). Other drivers do it, and seem not to have issues. I think I'll leave the info vague, as in states, and be more specific after I drop.
Picking up in Fargo (well duh, it's where our yard is) going to TN for Monday. Trying to decide which way would be best, since everything is frozen going towards IL and IN.
It's good to be home!Speed_Drums and Bumper Thank this. -
Unloading in Melrose Park tonight. Picking up in Chicagoland tomorrow going to Anaheim for Monday. Supposedly (according to weather underground) it's going to be clear sailing.
I think I'm in need of some batteries. The APU turns on very quickly after shutting the truck off.Speed_Drums Thanks this. -
