Since the packages have to be there next day, does the driver have to pick them up and carry them to the warehouse?
lovesthedrive Thanks this. -
Amazon doesn't care...that's why most, if not all of these blue trailers are being pulled by contractors. The contractor's insurance pays for the damaged equipment and the damaged load, and Amazon gets to sell the customer a replacement product that was damaged in a wreck, so they sell 2 items. It's a win-win for them other then some delay in delivery, and if the customer complains about the late delivery, then Amazon will refund their money or send them a gift card with their apologies.
DoubleO7, Bud A. and lovesthedrive Thank this. -
But it's the CSA scores of a bunch of contractors with their company name on cardboard taped to the door. It never touches Amazon or their space monkey leader, Mr. Star Trek.

Amazon does actually own some of the trucks running around (mostly daycabs) so they have a DOT number. One of their Volvo daycabs almost hit me on I-94 near Racine when the driver was going to fast for conditions-and he was bobtailing!Bud A. Thanks this.
