Do you know anything about
2619 Schoeneck Rd
Macungie, PA 18062
United States
it looks like a yard, but wondering is it more? Such as maintenance and stuff. Can Shaffer use Crete facilities and vise versa? I’m 100 miles away from the PA terminal but that yard is kind of close, so I was just seeing if you knew if we could park the truck at that yard along with my personal vehicle. Recruiter thought I was talking about the terminal even though I mentioned Macungie lol.
Snackbar is chillin'....at Shaffer

We use to share a facility in Macungie, but I don't think they still use it. I don't see it on my terminal list. @iraqralph43 might know more about it.tallguy66 Thanks this.

Just imagine how long it takes him to list his previous jobs in the last ten years. Lol

You ain’t gonna be concerned about the availability of dental floss? To each his own, but proper daily oral hygiene is the cornerstone of healthy gums and fresh breath.

It’s a former terminal and now a shared drop lot. There’s a handful of spots next to the fence for Crete/Shaffer. I don’t know about personal vehicles but would be worth checking into.tallguy66 and Jarhed1964 Thank this.

I swear, southern PA between Carlisle and the MD line will be one big warehouse complex within 10 years. New buildings are going up everywhere along I-81...but I don't see any new buildings that look like truckstops though. Love's needs to get on the stick.

So what’s the actual “proper” way to run recaps? I’ve always been a 70 and reset guy. Is it 9.5 hrs of driving/on duty time each day or how does it work exactly?
Jarhed1964 Thanks this. -
The main factor running recaps is the load you have on. If the load says you can drive 9-9.5 hours per day, then you’ll never run out of your 70. If it’s a reefer load with some awful delivery time, run balls to the wall then reset. Me personally, I love burning through my 70 in 6-6.5 days then reset. I left the house after a week off, ran 4350 miles from 11am Thursday to 11am this Thursday, got to my delivery with 58 minutes left on the clock and reset.mushroom1464, Jarhed1964, Lonesome and 5 others Thank this.

If you want to run on recaps, your average “duty” day (all on duty time) must be 8.75 hrs a day.
I tried my best to NEVER do a reset when I was OTR. I was good at avoiding them too. But, I only worked 3 weeks and then went home for a week.Speed_Drums, Jarhed1964, Lonesome and 3 others Thank this.
