As I've said before, I work for a motor carrier as an office manager; but the company is on the verge of an impending closure. Due to reasons I won't discuss here, I'm technically out of a job now.
My better half is on board with me getting my CDL and doing a Home Every Night driving gig (Home Every Night being a solid condition that I must adhere to). I would like to know of any dock to driver companies that are hiring near Phillipsburg, New Jersey (I am willing to drive up to 25 miles away). I know food-service LTL is a big one for this kind of work, but I would like to know all my options so I can do research and make phone calls starting tomorrow morning.
First and foremost, I would need to land something ASAP so I can continue to pay my bills. That's my number one priority.
@Chinatown Would you help me out please?
Thank you to everyone in advance! Any and all help is appreciated.
I'm out of a job due to company closure...

Sorry to hear you’re losing your job. That sucks. I don’t know your age, but if you’re older, food service, beverage delivery, etc... can be back breaking work.
My advice is to get all the endorsements so you can maximize your options.NavigatorWife, snowlauncher and Buddy Stinson Thank this. -
As for endorsements, I plan on it.NavigatorWife, Frank Speak and Bean Jr. Thank this. -
I'm in your area. Why not try Ward over on South side of Easton. I know they're looking for a "B" Class for a 24" Box / warehouse driver-handler, or maybe Primo Produce off Airport Road will help with getting your CDL through Northampton Community College in return for a one year commitment. Good Luck!

Allentown, PA is 19.5 miles from you and Sygma Network has a program to hire someone and then help them get a CDL-A.
This particular ad has you must already have a cdl, but I've never seen that before. All the other ads I've seen across the nation say CDL-A training provided.
Allentown, PA 18103

Old Dominion Freight Line in Bethleham may have the dock-to-driver program.
Most terminals have that.
