Don’t do it. Just say no to the crap megas. If you’ve kept your CDL current, you can get hired without becoming an indentured servant to one of the crap megas.

Correct, even if you haven't driven in 5, 10, or 15 years, there are companies that will hire you if your CDL is still valid.

People need to stop accepting slavery and giving the megas any business. They don't deserve good drivers.

That Halvor was telling me if you need a refresher they'll do a 2 week one paying 1k per week for...$5,000 dollar 1 year contract. Also send you with a trainer for 2 weeks. Paying 1k per week. That price is like a full school cost.

I know of a company in Lacrosse, WI that will hire you even if it's been over a decade since you've been in a big truck.

As long as you have a CDL and at least 2 years of experience at some point, they will hire you.

You have to live within 50 miles of their terminal I think, that is one of their stipulations.

Earl L. Bonsack, La Crosse, WI.

There are many more decent companies like this out there that will take someone who doesn't have recent experience, but like I've said a million times, you're not going to find them constantly spamming Craigslist and indeed. Only the companies that are extremely desperate do that.

I'm down in NC. Haven't used this license since 2016. Things and matters were in the way. Plus OTR thoughts give me anxiety attacks lol. Too much crap out there nowadays. I think i better find something local. Concrete truck, etc.
