HIghwinds light load tomorrow

Yes. I would park the truck and wait it out. I have been in the high winds on I-40, I-70 and I-80 and have been behind dry vans that were blown over. It's not pretty. Here are a couple of shots from last year on I-80 with 65mph winds.

Be safe out there and make good, sound decisions.

 

There are far more warnings than blowovers. When or if the wind gets too high park at a truck stop and wait. I use the Windy app and you can see the windspeed anywhere. Nobody, including your company, can take away the consequences of blowing over.

 

Let be a little more direct than my esteemed colleagues that posted before me.

Anyone that would drive a 12k pound load in those conditions is an idiot.

It does not matter how hot the load is.
Getting it there late is always better than never getting it there at all.

And no load is worth your life, because drivers do sometimes die when the the truck gets blown over.

Taking the winter off in az. Looking at the all the bad weather out there , makes me feel good about the decision
