Make it easy in yourself and only search the board for loads that are direct shipper.

It happens, there’s one agent famous for posting loads at a high rate, when you call about the load, she says well I know the loads posted for $2500, but the customer is only willing to pay $1900. I just hang up and move on.

If the person has a Eastern European communist former Soviet accent , (everyone seems to get mad if you call them Russians ) , you’re getting screwed . just hang up and move on to the next load you’re interested in.

 

Not always - there's a specialized load I haul that is actually a CHR load. It's not listed as direct.

 

Right. And plenty of slow paying bs direct loads as well. Nothing is set in stone in this business.

 

That's not even true. There's good players and really bad actors.

 

That’s such an untrue generalization, some foreign agents have treated me beyond fair. I have one that calls me regularly with good paying loads that don’t even hit the load boards.

There are some big Agency’s with direct freight (agency code begins with J and ends with X) that have a horrible reputations of loads constantly cancelling, I’ve been burned by them on more than one occasion, and now refuse to pull anything they list, and they have some good paying loads.
