Buy a truck/ no sense waiting

 

If you are where you say then there is trucking companies and brokerages all around you. Freedom tranport. Capable transport. A couple that used to do flatbed. Volume logistics. Syfan transport.

 

Buy your own truck and trailer and see how much it costs you to move your hay. Just to plate the power unit alone with cost you more than what you were quoted. That 1500 dollar quote was fair and accurate IMO. It's not the Carrier's fault your freight isn't valuable. Should trucks that move materials like stone, rock, sand etc etc run for peanuts too? The value of the freight doesn't necessarily coincide with the rate to transport it.
