Most people just comment they are junk.I own 5 2014 750k on one.3 2015 1 has 550k.I honestly see all engines with emissions break as much as mine.My biggest issue is brand of truck.Severly over priced parts and labor along with bad mechanics at dealer shops.mechanic owned shops are scared to touch. Here are some great tips I will share and answer what I know.First of all mechanics never put wires or hoses back factory.I go through all my trucks from top to bottom.Make sure every wire and hose is secure not rubbing.Even add cut hoses in areas on sharp objects.Derust and paint all steel coolant lines.Next for maintenance.on emissions.I try every year to clean dpf and the emissions filter in front of it.I simply unbolt take to carwash with pink aluminum cleaner and spray until water runs clear.Cost 30 $.Next item is crankcase relief assembly. I advise a picture as you disassemble.you can probably rebuild many times for free .No soaking.just pull apart black pieces clean 1 x 1 with dish soap. While your there check turbos. No play up or down reinstall. Also a good time to replace all those coolant hoses if it's near time.I use blue and orange hoses with plastic fittings.stainles steel solid clamps.Goes from 1500 in parts to 100.My next recommendation.Find a good truck junk yard great place for hoses clamps and electrical parts. You can find many parts like new for this motor and truck. For pennies on the dollar.Because so many bad mechanics.and drivers messed them up.I also invested in a cheap laptop.Bought nexiq 2 link the real one.Purchased service pro and navcal for 75$ I also advise checking vin with Navistar to make sure motor was diamond star renewed.Basically just bigger egr valve and better turbo. You also can't be fat.If you are you will need blocks.I know thread is long.I am trying to start a thread for an engine that I can find no help info on.Everone wants to delete emissions. It is very dangerous and illegal. One thing I am working on is rerouting egr and oil cooler. The set up is awful.Once I build it I can probably sell for 1/16 of what the current repair parts cost. And save this great engine.Feel free to ask any questions. And hopefully answer some of mine.

People lie. Numbers don't. Your boasting about 500k and 750k.
There are 2019 Cascadia with 1million miles.
Maxforce engines might be the worst engine ever made in class 8 trucks.biopure22, Opus, Arctic_fox and 1 other person Thank this. -

It did .Truck was taken apart so many times before they figured out egr problem.By untrained techs. You should see the amount of electrical components not fastened.Rubbing stuff. On every truck I buy.The engine is rock solid.Cummings would have been sued as well.Luckily they had an over 80 mph clause in warranty. Then rapidly fixed problem.I want to say 2012-2013.Maxforce didn't fix.International Kept selling.from 2011-2015.Just running customers around. In early 2015 International finally fiquired out the egr pin was to small. But at that point the trucks had been taken to pieces. On these engines one knicked can really cause problems.I wish I would have video taped the issues I have fixed.Damaged by mechanics.Judge said: ↑Almost bankrupted International.

You're the only person I've ever heard defend those engines lol the Maxxforce is a bad engine, period. The ones at my job are junk. Really nice trucks inside and out, but they're always in the shop. The A26 has been recalled for breaking rockers or something like that and Navistar will probably go bankrupt repairing them

I’m down to 3 trucks.
16 freightliner dd15, 630k
10 KW ISX cummins 1,141k
94 pete 2,400k
Wish i’d kept the 2000 international 9900,
and the 13 pete sometimes
Was going to buy another new trailer this year, but as I predicted earlier this year, the prices will try to fall to normal, the last trailer was 39k, same spec was 71-75k this year.
