Good luck to ya @xlsdraw . Stress eventually gets to us all, no matter the profession or just life in general.
Take that breather. Remember what your out there stressing yourself over. Take time to for yourself after the house thing. Like real time for yourself. Find a beach, get drunk. It's Florida, it wouldn't be odd. Just don't go driving any golf carts after the drinking part.
Don't like that idea...then pick whatever makes you happy, and take some time to enjoy it.
Stress sucks no matter why one has it. Tooth ache, life, work, a combo of all three and more, etc etc.
The truck, the road, and the loads will be there when your ready to deal with it all again.

When you get home pick up some L-theanine and melatonin. L-theanine can be taken through out the day, but you’ll need to figure out what dosage you need.
I take 500mg L-theanine and 10mg slow release melatonin before bedtime.Another Canadian driver, Rideandrepair, xlsdraw and 2 others Thank this. -
She wins today. Those poor people who work at the shipping/receiving warehouses 8 - 10 hours a day 30-50 years straight are simply bored and jealous of truck drivers. Their one and only pleasure is to ruin a trucker's day. Don't give them the satisfaction, ever. They are the sad ones stuck there loading and unloading trucks and doing boring paperwork. The truck driver is there for only a short time and gets to drive off and experience the wonderful existence that the job trucking entails.
My last load was drop and hook- I got there in the afternoon and dropped the loaded trailer and left to take my 10 hour break down by the beach since I was bobtail, it is perfect for parking and the ocean breeze wafting into the truck was absolutely wonderful all night. I returned to the customer around 0300 am or so, the guy checking me in said I cannot come in bobtail; I have to bring a trailer. I told him I had dropped a loaded trailer 12 hours ago more or less, he was having a power trip at 0300am. "I know my job!" he yelled. I already knew the trailer number I was to pick up so I got back into my bobtail and entered the facility anyway and hooked and went back to his office with the paperwork that was in the back of the trailer that matched all my pickup numbers etc. He was pissed! I was totally mellow, after all, I had spent the night at the beach in my truck. Plus knowing he would still be there stewing all night as I cruised down the road making $$ was all the satisfaction I needed.Last edited: Aug 13, 2022

I’d use the opportunity to accept the disrespect and thank them for the treatment. This is the true way. Please don’t practice any way that butts heads. Be grateful for all treatment. This is what meant to be is.
