Don’t haul Heavy, got it.
Last load I pulled was over 54,000lbs, yours?
Lonesome, Cat sdp and Studebaker Hawk Thank this. -
How come Landstarve isn't on that list?
Concorde, bzinger, HoundDog7 and 1 other person Thank this. -
Can a dump load really be compared? You don't have to secure it, but I suppose finding a "backhaul" might be difficult. Wouldn't be too bad if you just ran dedicated.
-
But hoppers are considered “Starvation wagons” and that was a back haul..
Took me to hometown.Cat sdp Thanks this. -
" Welfare Wagons" is what I always was told, never pulled one.

There’s a Tyson feed mill next door to one our customers. It’s fairly common to see those grain haulers lined up for a half mile or so and just sit there for hours.
I’ll unload and go get another load and the line will not have moved when I come back. It takes me about 45 minutes to unload and about an 1.5 - 2 hours to go get another load and get back.
I often wonder if those pilgrims get paid to sit there hours on end.
Thankfully, we do have any broker loads. -
-
Tyson, no pay to sit, some drivers are paid hourly.
But ingredients usually get to go to different pit than corn/milo BUT some don’t, Spadra, AR tyson has one pit for trucks, one rail only, because the saved money putting a road to the second pit.Frank Speak and Bumper Thank this. -
Or the ever popular Schneider.....bzinger, HoundDog7 and Dave_in_AZ Thank this.
