When I drove for Crete they had a couple of drivers that were deaf.

My thoughts exactly. Plus, if you pull up to a RR crossing, you're supposed to listen for a train.
I think Werner has some pretty poor lawyers.

And it wasn’t all that long ago, you had to be able to speak English to get a CDL!!!

Jury verdicts in civil cases always make the news. However, it’s very rare the “victim” sees those ridiculous awards. They are almost always drastically reduced by the courts.

Nope, couldn't do it. Been there, tried that, have the depositions to prove it.

The problem Werner ran into is they put him through a company owned school and then denied him a job saying he was unqualfied. You have to be consistent all the way through.

And yes, Werner needs better lawyers.

FullMetalJacket, Lonesome and Opus Thank this.

Having ANY company on your resume for more than 12 months without incident is good. That’s some Schneider kool-aid you’re drinking there.

Last Call and Vrgadin Thank this.

The point made above being...Schneider experience (when done properly) is inherently a good thing -- as opposed to that suggested/inferred in this thread's initial post.

    No "Kool aid" needed.

I tend to agree. I had them on my resume for a couple years, and then snagged myself a good LTL job.

I didn't really know how to drive yet, but just making it through that madness with no incidents was good enough at the time.

…and I drove for a mega that allowed Bluetooth headsets, and landed that LTL Linehaul job (straight to bid, no wild board). Point being, you can put up with Schneider’s policies and lack of pay, or you can go through someone else not as strict, and you’ll still be a desirable candidate for that 6 figure job.
