    Werner Enterprises has a training facility on the far west side of Atlanta:

    Truck Driver Careers - Werner Enterprises

    As a new driver -- be sure to avoid any/all "dollar store" type jobs/accounts with them (or with any other carrier, for that matter).

    Otherwise, Werner is one of the very few carriers to get threads here on the Forum like these:

    Happy at Werner

    AND

    Back at Werner

    Also: Werner is one of the few major carriers left that still appears to be hiring/accepting brand new CDL holders (as of this post, anyway).

    Happy they are near me. I was just asking because I think I may go poor before I can get training.

    @CatesCube --

    Note also that Wiley Sanders hauls their own freight; thus, they are essentially a private carrier -- and so are much less dependent on outside contracts/business than most other carriers (a big potential advantage for you later, in a recessionary economy). They also appear to be very busy, and are much closer to your location than many others (a nearby main terminal offers some cool advantages for you, as well).

    Their training program for new CDL holders is not too short; they also pull different types of freight (not just dry van). So with that you could learn different freight skill sets; this diversity will make you more appealing to other carriers later on (been there, done that).

    Thank you for your response and kind attention to give me advise. I really am so close to last dime. I wish I can get something so soon with them. I agree they are the only ones close to me. Other than Hogan made a statement in Craigslist they they hire and train drivers new out of CDL school her in Montgomery. AL

    Ou may b right. But I wouldn't discourage anyone from trying. There are exceptions.

    @CatesCube
    You don't need a terminal near you. The trucking company will provide transportation to get to orientation, plus meals & lodging until you leave with a trainer.
    When you go home for off time, you take the truck with you.
    How many applications have you submitted?
