Glad to hear it. Just remember new jobs at most trucking. Come with what they call a “honeymoon period” Not saying, that’s the case with you, but it’s quite common. Your dispatcher might be on his best behavior, giving you some nice fat loads. Keeping in good communication with you and keeping you constantly moving. Check back in six months and see if that’s the case, and if it is, then you’ve got yourself in a good situation. If it’s not? Then you just went through the honeymoon phase. Lol.

However -- it's no big secret that teams do often tend to get preferential treatment with loads, etc.

I'm guessing that honeymoon is being able to team drive. I haven't heard too many good things about it except for husband and wife teams.

 

Teams here gross ~$2400, per driver. Run dedicated routes. Run a dedicated schedule of ~5 days out. Outstanding benefit package. All air-ride equipment. If you two continue to be successful running together, put this in your rolodex for future consideration.

I crossed paths with a Werner solo driver today who has been with them for 27 years. Guess he’s satisfied too.
