$1300 after taxes? That's a #### good check imo. With medical/vision/dental, life insurance, taxes and child support coming out of my check, I'd have to make $2400 to see $1300 back. I need to apply for the company you're atbryan21384 and Moosetek13 Thank this.

You failed to answer the first question of... is that $1,336 each?
And, after deductions?
That is pretty good money for 2650 miles each.bryan21384 and kylefitzy Thank this. -
Original poster come on man we can’t even answer your question because the variables are completely unknown. Is that for each of you? Is it after or before taxes? 5300 miles. You should each be netting a minimum of $1600. Minimum for those many miles. If your check was $1300 for both of you at 5300 miles you are absolutely getting completely ripped off big time.
bryan21384 Thanks this. -
Old Dominion. Teams are now over 90cpm each driver - so a husband/wife team would bring (.90cpm times 6,000 miles/week = $5400 before taxes) to the house.
We ran 6,120 miles/week with 2 days off. All drop and hook, paid motel if waiting on freight in California (2-12 hours when it was slow), paid for drops/hooks/fueling/any breakdown by the hour. Paid uniforms/jackets benefits and matched 401k with annual distribution to 401k if company was profitable. Annual raises.
We left 10 years ago at 72 cpm, now over 90 cpm.4mer trucker, IH Truck Guy, JolliRoger and 6 others Thank this. -
Got ahold of R&L and they said they've cut off hiring to make sure they keep the teams they have running but they said with us being married and coming on as a team together that they would love to have us they said to call back in February and they would get us in there. They said 2 grand a week guaranteed and off every sat and sun! We're working 7 days a week gone a month at a time and home 2 days a month right now for maybe 900 a week so that's a game changer! Thanks for the heads up we've called and tried so many different companies and had never heard of RnL and turns out their 80 miles from where we live

Hey sorry that's 1336 apiece after taxes and everything for running 5300 miles. But that's the first time they've got us that many runs they normally can't get us more than 3300 miles a week. Wr each make 30 cents a mile but we get all the miles each other run put together. A normal week for us looks like 3300 miles and 889 dollars after taxes and everything taken out.Albertaflatbed and blairandgretchen Thank this.

Tah dah!
Look into any LTL company - and you’ll find that with a good record and work ethic, income potential moves from mediocre to substantial.
Good luck.4mer trucker, Rideandrepair, Albertaflatbed and 2 others Thank this. -
That’s fantastic. They’re not yanking your chain either. I’m not in LTL now but I’ve spent a lot of time with LTL (Less Than Truck Load) companies. Carolina Freight Carriers Corporation, Consolidated Freightways, and R&L. The last part of the 4th quarter and first 1/2 of the 1st quarter of each year is a traditional slow time for LTL. Not to be political but given the results of the 2024 election it also bodes well for an uptick. R&L has its issues just like any company but overall they are a good outfit. They take care of their equipment, but you have to bring things to their attention sometimes. When I left they were running Paccar and International condos in the team operations with all the bells and whistles. Fridge microwave etc. The team trucks run 74. Cameras but outward only. Your relationship with central has a lot to do with how happy you will be. They had some old long term guys that played favorites in central dispatch but last I heard all but one was retired and the remaining one was getting ready to retire in 2025. So best wishes glad I could be if service. I don’t think you’ll regret it
Please keep us posted -
