FCC--Fremont Contract Carriers

If yall are taking 70 between eastern Kansas and STL, i would advise finding a place to park. Roads are looking to be pretty bad, especially in the Kansas City area

FCC doesn't have a generator plug that is separate from the inverter's plug(s)?

 

We have two outlets that run solely off the APU. The rest are tied into the inverter. At least on trucks with Carrier’s

 

We only have 1, but that's what I run my air fryer or microwave off of (my inverter sucks, 5 minutes with my microwave and the inverter low volt is beeping with new batteries, so I run it off the generator side). The Carrier's generator is something like a 6000 watt, should be enough for a gaming laptop, even if using the heat or a/c.

 

I never thought about that. Since there’s no idle timer, I always run the truck when using my air fryer because i trust my trucks alternator to keep the inverter voltage from going low (the voltage would drop down quite a bit with my 900 watt microwave, even with the APU running. Air fryer pulls almost double that) a lot better than the alternator on the APU. But if i can bypass the inverter completely, that might be the way to go

 

I haven’t read all 1800 pages of this but seems like FCC is a good company to drive for. I live in the dfw area and wondered what regional looked like for us down here? Seems as if OTR makes more money obviously and wondered what home time is for that? Also what is the cpm range? I have 2 1/2 years and no wrecks or accidents. Just wondering what kind of money I could make weekly

 

Dfw is a real good spot for the sw regional. Heading to dallas now to drop then grab a load off the yard for SD. Ive only done the sw regional so i dont know what hometime is for otr.

 

What does your home time and pay look like for that? Not trying to be nosey or anything but just want an idea of what it looks like. It sounds really good

 

Have a question for y’all. I was pulled over for an inspection today on I-20 in GA. The officer did not give me a citation, but did put on the inspection report that I was in violation of 395.24 because I didn’t notate in the load section of my logs what I was doing. I was bobtailing from our Lithonia GA terminal back to our Rocky Mount NC terminal because my load canceled. I have had inspections before and not had anything in the load section (even under a load) and nothing was said about it. Is this just GA being “extra”? I mean, theirs were the only weigh stations open and actively working this weekend between VA, NC, SC and GA. I even looked up the section he was referring to and don’t think I needed to put anything there, but I will be contacting safety in the morning. For reference, the safety dept requires us to put our load information (load #, trl #, and “mixed food products”) when we are under a load, but said nothing about when we aren’t laden.

 

I’ve never put anything if I’m bobtailing. But I’ve also never been inspected while bobtailing.
