FCC--Fremont Contract Carriers

That's what I loved about open deck...most the time the receiver was glad to see you because they wanted what was on your trailer, unlike the average grocery warehouses we door slammers visit.

 

Well they weren't thrilled to see me this morning. But was out of there before 9a.


Next load; pickup some no tarp, steel plate, from Chattanooga on Friday going to Valley NE for next Monday. Truck is due for service and I'm due for a med card in 20ish days.

 

Kansas City Yard: rack 'em, pack 'em, and stack 'em. What the hell?

 

When I was in there last week, the place was half empty.

 

Got down to Chattanooga at 10:30a for my 11:00a loading "appointment"

I used to come to this place with McElroy so I already knew what I was in for.

Finally was loaded around 2p and secured by 2:30p. Going to drop it in Valley Sunday and bt over to Fremont and grab a load of wall panels that go to St Mary's KS for Monday.

From there a load of stone in cottonwood ks that goes to Omaha for Tuesday.

Physical scheduled for Tuesday 1100

 

Dropped the plate steel in Valley Saturday early evening. Got my load together that was sitting on the yard in Fremont.

Delivered this morning to the power plant in Saint Mary's KS.


Snagged my load of stone from cottonwood falls.


Pretty much everything going as pre planned. Deliver the stone in Omaha in the morning, from there service and doc as mentioned above.

Two of the most frequent posters have left the company. Seems to me that the majority of posts here were from @runningman0661 and @cdavis188 and direct responses to them.

 

I do have one regret leaving FCC.

I can no longer go spelunking at Kwik Trips and buy food and snacks I definitely don't need. I miss their fried chicken and sweets section. Closest one is a 5.5 hour drive to the one in De Soto, IA

 

well... hop in one of your V-8 powered couches and get some grub.

 

Those fried cheese curds are going to kill me, and I’m good with that.
