A couple weeks ago a local cop was out in the street ticketing trucks, which was the first time I've seen that.

I just caught up on this whole thread. All I can say is that I'm glad the missus told me to stay western regional even though it pays (or will pay starting June 1) 9 cpm less than OTR. She said, "You hate running east and you make everyone miserable when you do." I guess she's right. Just reading this gave me flashbacks from running chemical tankers and flatbeds out east. Atlanta, Charlotte, Scranton, yikes! I refuse anything east of Des Moines these days, and rarely go east of DFW and KC.

I'm in Cheyenne after doing a week "helping out" with Walmart. I ran dedicated for two years there when I first came to Crete so there were no surprises, but I really do hate being run like a rented mule (as someone in another thread put it). Have tomorrow off. Going to sleep with no alarm now for the first time in several weeks.

I'm enjoying your thread, SSB. You're more fun when you're not grumpy. Keep it up!

When did they change the detention time limit? We used to get a message at 1 hour, now it's 2. Is this how they can afford to give us a raise?

Last week I had a 3 hour detention, but only got paid $15 (1 hour)

Because detention starts at our number two and always has so you got the one hour detention pay

I thought that’s how most companies are 2 hrs of your life on each end not paid and you’ll never get it back.

It’s always been two hours here, but after two hours, as long as we send in our detention message, we automatically get paid detention whether the company gets paid it or not

landstar last night deliberately tried to hit me..I was attempting to move over to the left but due to traffic wasn’t able to move immediately..his lane was ending due to construction..no excuse for it..

Landstar now has the video of this incident. I spoke to them as well and they’re not happy about it at all..

I already know what that driver is going to say: "He wouldn't let me over! What was I supposed to do?"

Um, hit your brakes and go behind, #######.

I thought it was one hour as well. I'm going to ask the nice ladies here in Cheyenne what the deal is.
