I can see the fuel saving argument, and even miles wise its not cutting what you can drive that much, especially out east. Biggest pain is when youre passing someone and it decides to cut out. Just got a 2027 kenworth and been dealing with this. No pass smart yet

Again? Really? Why is it that you can never seem to find the right company to work for? I've followed all your post on this site and whether they were good or bad, they were absolutely entertaining. You have a tremendous work ethic which is something to be proud of since it seems to be lacking in this day and age. But I do understand where you are coming from. I think we are close in age because I turned 62 this year and retired two years ago. We had the Samsara tablets in our tucks and it seemed like they were always updating the tablets to be more "efficient". Never worked well in my opinion but I'm just an employee. They never bothered with a fuel solution because the driver's returned to the yard every day. Having to deal with what you are dealing with would drive me insane. I get where the company is coming from though. They just want to make the most money possible. Naturally on the backs of the driver's. Your just a number to them. I worked for what I considered to be a good company but realized that I was just a number a long time ago. Now you would have hated to do my work and there is absolutely no way I would run OTR. I worked Mon-Fri and usually went to the same customers weekly. Basically LA to the Bakersfield area around 375 miles per day in a tanker. One delivery and head back to reload for the next day. And as an added bonus, we could only drive a maximum of 55mph or your score would go down in the Samsara. But the garbage that you have to put up with, I couldn't tolerate it. It seems like every OTR company is pretty much the same thing but with different colored trucks and some worse that others. Maybe something great will happen at your next company. I wish you the best.truckerman75103 and navypoppop Thank this.

I found 2 good companies, but Daseke ruined both. I loved working with Moore. Then I loved it at SPD pre-Wylie, but once Daseke partnered us with Wylie and we all know happened from therehotrod1653, Rugerfan, 074344 and 6 others Thank this.

It's part of the collision avoidance system on newer trucks, they have a cutoff on the cruise if wiper switch is on, the thought being you shouldn't have cruise on during inclement conditions. It can be disabled but companies are becoming hesitant to change any factory safety setting because of lawsuits.hope not dumb twucker and Long FLD Thank this.

I see from YouTuber ‘Joe Seppi’ that all OTR COTC drivers are now EW Wylie drivers….Rugerfan Thanks this.
