I hope this isn't true, but it is hilarious!!! Yep! Explains the driver shortage!

Used peoplenet once upon a time. Needless to say the company didn't keep it long!

indeed and they even had their hands in the modems

sometimes I like to call it Failcomm, the darn thing irritates me sometimes going out, freezing up, putting me "off road" etc

Nothing wrong with PeopleNet, which I have used in the past, but I now use Qualcomm and it's much better.

You forgot to mention that the only way to keep from getting caught up in the net is to wear the aluminum foil hats, (double thickness), and have koolaid stains around your mouth.

Seriously though, we've got the peep net.

Its kinda slow, could use some user friendliness tweaks, but works OK.

Saves us about 2 hours a week over paper logs.

We don't have People net yet but soon will have and from what I can see it's just garbage. Experimented with it in the office and not user friendly at all from what I can see for local drivers, and the other drivers from other companies that I've talked to don't like it either. I've used Qualcomm and Xata which are much more user friendly.

I'm in a local outfit and we use Peoplenet. What issues are you having with it? I don't have any major problems with it aside from a random reboot now and then. I don't care much for the touch screen, though. I miss the keyboard that was on our old version. It was much easier to type up a message instead of hunt and pecking on the screen.

The problems I think we will have with it as a local outfit is it just does not seem so driver friendly. Go through five or so screens to get where you want. Although I am negative I will have to see how it plays out in the real world. Just seems if you have multiple stops with multiple locations (sometimes 10 or 12) that there is no easy way to input the info.
