100% dead serious. Popular with new drivers. Various dedicated accounts. Good equipment.

Just can't guarantee you'll go home with a positive paycheck.

I second that Watkins & Shepard - Good company, great training, good runs, and they will work with you. Their terminal is in Hickory and they have LTL as well as OTR.

I had a job once that got me home every weekend. I got home on Saturday and left on Sunday! :)

To the OP I guess you want to find a company with regional or dedicated runs. Roehl has several programs on getting drivers home.

Watkins rolls up the carpets and locks the windows on weekends.

Allow me to piss in your cheerios. It's been my experience that anyone who's biggest want when looking for their first company is lots of hometime usually isn't going to be able to adapt to a trucking lifestyle.

Epes transport and cargo transporters offer weekly home time, and they hire new drivers. Both companies are based out of North Carolina so weekly home time shouldn't be an issue.

We talked with lots of solo drivers at watkins and shepard when we worked there, and they were knocking down some good paychecks and working on some dedicated routes that got them home often
