I will go as far as to say if you are an experienced driver then yes a week or two company training to learn how that certain company does things is probably enough. But when you are talking about someone who just got their cdl 6weeks isn't even enough

Chinatown Thanks this.

Schneider does have a lot of dedicated accounts that new hires get right into. Usually works out cause the trainer is on the account too and I see some that go home everyday in training at the account I'm on.
bigelk Thanks this. -

I would stay at Wal-Mart. Seven years? You are well on your way to a salary Management position. Why throw that away?
bigelk Thanks this. -
I went through Prime's CDL program and drove solo reefer with them for 1.5 years. Knowing what I know now, if I could go back and choose which company to get my experience with, I'd go right back with Prime. Honestly, if I could handle the OTR lifestyle I probably would still be with Prime.
Those 62mph trucks though .....bigelk Thanks this. -
