I love my reefer drivers (how else would I get my food? ) but its way more money in tankers or flatbed. ..you get your experience up and get into hauling oversize loads...you will make owner operator money then

I run 2500 miles a week on a dedicated run, home every weekend 2 days. After truck payment, fuel, insurance, and plates, I bring home 1455.00 a week. I am making double payments on my truck

I make a grand a week or more Take Home pulling reefer.

If i do NOT make a grand in my pocket each week or more the truck gets parked. end of story.

2 weeks a month my insurance stuff gets deducted and i still take a grand home or more. the other 2 weeks its $1,400 to $1,500 a week.

Have a 75 mph truck, and a brand new reefer with a super nice Thermo King Precident that is quiet as all hell. love that thing

    Wisconsin to California every week

It is definitely possible as a company driver, and pulling reefers I would not want to make much less than that.

As someone else stated on here, to do it consistently every week you work, you will either have to be running close to your 70 hrs every week or be getting payed a higher CPM.

I run MN to AZ every week, and depending on the number of stops, accessorials, etc, I usually gross a bare minimum of $1300 to $1400. In some extreme cases I have had a few weeks gross close to $1900, but that was more multi-p/u and drops combined with extra-long backhauls, putting me right around 4400 miles per week.

If you have a slow truck for an irregular route carrier, and work for a company that wont run you or you wont run very hard, you will have a hard time making that much unless they give you higher CPM up front.

I own 7 trucks, all reefers. Full time drivers are out 5-7 days, home 2. Average $60K/year. All company drivers, not fleece deals. Very doable. 2 days home might not be Sat/Sun, but it still beats being on the road 4 or 5 weeks at a time.
