We are starting orientation with R&L on 9/22/14. We are gonna be on a dedicated team run out of Louisville KY terminal. 5 days out starting Monday morning and off weekends. We are replacing a HW team that retired after 15 years with them. We will be meeting a driver out of Dallas in Arkansas everyday . Sounds like a good deal for us. I will try to keep updated as to how we are doing here. My wife and I have teamed for 9 years with a 3 year hiatus while my wife took care of her dying mother. We are both very excited about our new job.

Congratulations ! Please keep us posted on how things are going. We got hired on back during winter but decided to stay with our current employer. I posted R&Ls pay for teams but please update that for us if it's changed at all. They did pay different from the rest of the industry.

We will keep you posted for sure. I read the pay scale post from truckduo. I asked specifically during the interview what our pay would be. He called payroll and gave us a rate of 317 a piece each day. The solo linehaul guys I talked to While waiting for my road test after Dana said the team that retired were clearing 1500 each on their paychecks. That would be nice for sure.

Orientation went well today. We filled out paperwork, watched company videos on loading procedures and the rest. Updated our haz mat training. It took about 4 hours. We will be driving a 2012 pro star. Has a nice Bose seat on drivers side. Has an apu with two outlets for plugging into. We verified that the full pay to each driver is 360 dollars per day. We will start at 88% which is 317 each. The Run is 605 miles each way. Start tonight ( Tuesday 0400) l will keep you updated how it goes.

Is it typical for carriers to pay teams a flat rate as opposed to mileage? I'm thinking that's a sweet deal because if you run into any issues on the road you still get paid your flat rate regardless if you complete the turn or not in the expected time.

It runs five days a week starting monday 4am and ending Friday Midnite. Just met a solo Dallas driver in Gurdon AR. He gets home everyday on it. On our way back and should be back to Louisville about 1am. We got a late start this morning. We were told to be there at 4am not that we were leaving 4 am. So we had to rush getting on road. TM was cool about it. Truck goes 72 mph with cruise and 7 5mph with foot. Was having fun in KY and TN passing everyone. AR WAS a bummer. Wife is driving now. I'm laying down. Later all

R and L is only one I know of that does the flat rate. You get no wait time or drop and hook pay. But Dallas driver texts us his eta when he leaves so we can adjust on our end and vice versa if it's a delay on our end

    TruckDuo and TheJU312 Thank this.
