Im on ELD and I have to have 10hrs off to reset. It has no provision for 8-2 split

 

I got pulled in for a Level 3 in Colorado Sunday I70 Westbound, she just perused my paper logs real quick and handed them back even though I had a bunch of 8/2 splits up in there.

Today (Thursday) get called around to door 4 in Truckee CA scales for Level 1, again the guy just quickly looked over my paper logs and handed them back. Clean inspection again and the 5 stickers tractor and trailer .

i believe it has a lot to do with those lattice boom towers you see every few miles along the freeways, with the little Vegas casino type round black camera hanging down. They film trucks going by all day so they can figure out how many hours a guy has been up on the highway, by the time you get to the scale they already know whether they want to take a closer look. in my case, i run legal always mostly because if I get popped on paper log violation my carrier will force me to elogs anyway.

 

I was talking to one guy and he says he rips off scale pre pass off of his windshield so they cant track him where hes been. He was a goon though lol
