I wasn't talking about driving in Gary. I was talking about being assigned to the Roehl terminal there, which is likely where you'd be assigned since you live in that area. That terminal is awful. Ellenwood is pretty decent. If you could get assigned to that one, you'd be okay at Roehl. That's what I meant.

HA GOTCHA Sorry misunderstood. I am not a big fan of Roehl Slip SeatingFrank Speak Thanks this.

They didn't do that when I was there. I was in the dry van division and ran 17 on, 3 off schedule.
That was a few yew years ago though. Now, I'm 7 on, 2 off with Davis Express.
I'm supposed to be picking up a damaged trailer at a chicken processing plant. I got here 2 hours ago only to find the trailer loaded. lol
They weren't supposed to load it. Now, they're unloading it and putting their product on another one of our trailers so I can take the damaged one to our terminal in Atlanta for repairs. -
If it were me I'd go with Prime, .44 a mile and fuel bonuses.

Wil-trans owns JPT as far as the tractors and trailers go. Wil-trans contracts it's freight to load on both JPT and Wil-Trans trucks from Prime Inc.
So as far as that goes, Prime Inc controls both of these companies like a puppet master.

So who is getting the shaft? -
I am also a recent CDL school grad and go to orientation with JPT next month. JPT and Roehl were #1 and #2 on my list after doing exhaustive research. Another company you might consider is May Trucking out of Salem OR. One of my instructors drove for them for several years and enjoyed working for them. They seem like a good company with competitive pay and good equipment. They also have a guaranteed weekly pay option for the first year. All 3 companies offer VA OJT Apprenticeship: Roehl - 24 months; JPT - 15 months; May - 12 months.
