Paintball Guns and CMV's

I second that question. I've been hi-beamed a few too many times in the last few nights....

 

There is no federal rule against carrying a real gun, why would their be one for a paintball gun?

 

Do what I do, add more driving lights lol.

 

This sounds recreational, and therefore FUN.

The FMCSA clearly states in 362.14, subsection (ii), part D,

"Drivers shall not have, nor engage in, or entertain the idea of FUN, at any time, for any reason "

 

You COULD use it for a use other than fun, so therefore you cannot have it. It is the same thinking as "we need to govern all trucks". Even if you never speed, simply having the ability to do so, makes you guilty.

We have crossed the line.

 

Wire up some led spot lights aiming backwards on each side my dad taught me that trick drivers that flash their hi beams to tell I'm clear get flashed back

 

It's not a gun but rather a paintball marker.
