Ouch parting company with 2500.00 may not be what he wants.

good unit, dropped one in a live bottom and pulled it out the other end still usable.

the toughbook intimidates me. i'm not sure what to make of that. lol.

So I'm thinking about going with a Samsung Galaxy Tab S2.
Although.... A gaming laptop would be niiiice :p

I have BOOST MOBILE (Sprint Subsidiary) for cellphone.
I wonder if I should just switch to Verizon/T-Mobile for Cellphone & grab a Verizon Jetpack with a contract data plan once I am finished with schoool.

I have an iPad and a Galaxy Tab, both are wifi, and I have a blue tooth keyboard I can use when needed with either one. If I need internet and there is no wifi I use my phone as a hotspot.

I prefer the laptop. A 200 dollar toss it laptop combined with real time GPS antenna (* I still have the rand mcnally Streets GPS with the old serial port and disks to go with it)

It did well as long the physical address was correct.

Fast forward to today, Ive been doing some thinking regarding smart phones. I got a dongle on the way to measure radioactivity in real time and which kinds and how much etc with that sensor that goes into the top of the phone.

There is a horrifying accurate GPS with that smart phone i have. I have to do some thinking to see how best to use it without paying anything. Remember Rand was a one time purchase as was the laptop. The smart phone is a hungry child munching on the wallet. I hate it for that reason.

your measuring your phones radioactivity in real time? what's that for?|

I still feel like a good ol fashioned tablet is the way to go for now. But I am not sure if I want one that comes "unlocked" for 4G use on a cellphone's network, or if I will grab one that can only use WiFi. IDK if there are any advantages (especially price-wise) to using a 4G data-plan, or using a HotSpot like Verizon Jetpack.

Does anyone here use/recommend SPRINT & get good service across the US? I get pretty good service in CT.

Do not buy a snap on keyboard.
    Buy a bluetooth keyboard instead.
That way you can use it on your phone, tablet and laptop and the touch off one button.(for instance Logitech has some with 3 bluetooth buttons, preprogram those and you are golden)
Also what people forget is that you can use a mouse on android phones and tablets.

I live in a building with cancer patients, there are three currently including my spouse's mother being radiated. I have been hit with radiation these last years, according to my Nukealert sensor at a slow 6 REM per hour which is not that much dose but enough to be slightly above background.

That is one of my issues, Im wondering if I am being hit with enough "Splash" from these poor neighbors who are being bombarded and then I have to live with them literally on the other side of my wall for however long they survive. It's a relatively low radiation, but higher than background.

    Do you understand?
