Werner dispatchers abusing the writeup system to punish drivers without their knowledge

When I was dedicated, I only got in one argument in 2 years. When I was teaming I only got in an argument once in 2 years. When I was flatbedding it was twice in 6 months in extreme circumstances.

Now that Im solo with Werner, I get in an argument every 6 days on average. They teamed me with two guys who they claimed were "difficult" and I never once had an argument. Not one time. We always found middle ground and kept going. Yet somehow I cannot EVER seem to find common ground with the solo dispatchers.

They dont even seem to care for their own self preservation. The law doesnt matter, getting in trouble is a joke to them, and they dont hesitate to lie.

I got called into Safety and my dispatcher actually said I was free to avoid breaking the law, but would be written up for complying with it. AND HE SAID THIS ON THE LINE WITH A SAFETY SPECIALIST LISTENING. He also brought up a topic, then said he didnt know what topic we were discussing when I began to respond.

No repercussions. Even if its done with a safety specialist as a witness.

I like just about everything about Werner, but the solo dispatchers are absolutely horrendous. And my dispatcher isnt even a new guy, hes been here for years. Still has no interest in learning his job or anything. Knows no laws, didnt even know that coercion was illegal.

My dedicated dispatchers and team dispatchers have been great, but the solo ones have been an absolute nightmare to deal with.

 

The guy has actually been here for a while, so he should know his job. But he knows nothing and is completely inconsiderate.

Got woken up early the other day and refused a load because of it. They woke me up even earlier the next day and acted like I was crazy for thinking they couldnt wake me up at 545 for a 1000 load. They responded "But you said you would be available at 0800!"

Since when is 0545 suddenly 0800? Im starting to wonder if these guys are smoking weed before work, because they do and say some outright bizarre things.

I do get miles, but because I took a pay cut to be on this division. So we naturally get the loads first. But I seriously HATE my dispatcher. I would rather just have a stable dispatcher. I cant enjoy getting miles if I cant trust my dispatcher to be stable.

 

Thats just the log violation message. When they write you up, they dont have to tell you about it. If they want to abuse the system, they can choose whichever they feel like.
