Unloaded Sumner and reloaded Seattle today. Currently in Post Falls, ID
To unload Jersey City, NJ Monday morning. Won't be much grass grow under my feet next four days
Lots of smoke/ash in the air all across Washington, and generally all up and down I-5. Especially bad in Ellensburg area from fires up near the Canadian border. Can't keep the inside of my truck clean last 3 days dealing with this crap everywhere to one extent or another since northern California ...

About 4-5 mile visibility due to smoke near Ellensburg

Got my Denver drop kicked off but not without much difficulty. Apparently the broker told the consignee I had a medical emergency and I needed to be unloaded ASAP. As this was obviously not true, Strike 1. Also it was in the system as supposed to deliver yesterday. Strike 2. And if I wanted it unloaded today it'd be 305$ plus lumper fees, and they'd "work me in". Strike 3 I'm outta here. Dispatch said there's no frickin way we're paying that. Alrighty. Go in and tell consignee, now they're all pissy pants because the broker obviously fabricated some sort of story for who knows what reason AND they still not getting their product. Few hours pass and I was told to hit a door, albeit not very kindly. So long story short, no friends were made in Denver today. Now I'm like .06 miles down the street loading... drum roll...ba ba ta da.. MORE WATER!!
For a product that quite literally falls out of the sky it sure needs to be shipped around a lot. I drop and swap at a Walmart DC towards Omaha and then camp at our yard tonight.... is the plan anyway.
The Kraut, Vic Firth, Farmerbob1 and 2 others Thank this. -
Started today in Topeka, KS with load 1.
Stopped for Fuel in Pontoon Beach, IL.
Asked if there were any nice loads coming out of my final, Manteno, I'LL.
Five minutes later, got a request from a driver manager I did not know. Request was to go to New Berlin, IL, and swap loads with a driver trying to get home in IL.
Not being an idiot, I recognized that this might be a test of my willingness to be a team player. Five minutes from my asking for a nice load, to get a repower Request? Right.
I said yes, and swapped load 1 with load 2 in New Berlin.
Dropped load 2 in Moberly, MO.
Was sent a new load 3, with a pickup in California, MO. Delivery to Lewiston, ME.
Managed to get to a washout for new trailer, and am now shut down a few miles north of pickup.
I'll hopefully pick up a load in St. Albans, VT with decent miles on it coming out of the NE.motocross25 Thanks this. -
Doing an unload/reload turnaround in Jersey City area bound for Phoenix however I don't have sufficient hours coming between now and Friday to make the appointment so will likely end up doing some sort of exchange somewhere in between in the next several days.
The Kraut and motocross25 Thank this. -
Dang man you get around. I kicked off in Pawnee City NE and came back to our yard. I have a delivery tomorrow morning in Hastings NE then drop and swap in Columbus NE for Memphis TN. My apu still not working. It's tolerable at best up here, but I'm gonna hafta swing it by the shop tomorrow before I go down to Memphis. I don't mind juggling my hours around and switching from nights to days and back again, but when it's cooking in the cab and I can't sleep and the truck won't stay running, that doesn't work so well.Farmerbob1, The Kraut and Shock Therapy Thank this.

Sitting in Minonk, IL ataring at the lovely gravel lot of the Road Ranger... this place has potholes that could swallow a Mini Cooper.
Was off for a few days. Did a short run this morning then got loaded in Marion' WI heading to South Pittsburg, TN.Shock Therapy, The Kraut and motocross25 Thank this. -
After one week I finally got the call on Friday morning that my truck is fixed and good to go.
Dispatch managed a load for me to Cali, another driver dropped the trailer in Denver. I picked up the rental car Friday afternoon and left home early Saturday morning.
Plan was two drops in NorCal and one in SoCal. When I picked up the trailer all three drops were NorCal.
Called dispatch on Saturday but nobody knew what was going on. Dropped my first two today and have to wait for my last till tomorrow morning. The plant had changed the trip, but there was no appointment for me available today for the last delivery. Usually the receiver is very good, delivered there a few times early but today they were very busy, no chance to get rid of 3 pallets today
Enjoyed the week off at home, better than sitting in a hotel in Denver for one week
Panhandle flash, Shock Therapy, Suspect Zero and 1 other person Thank this. -
There you are!! I was wondering what was happening in your world. Glad you're rolling again. Hopefully the truck holds out!The Kraut Thanks this.

I hope

A piston went bad and parts were everywhere in the engine, got a new turbo too. Coolant everywhere in the engine, was a major repair, but the truck is still under warranty
Made the first 1300 miles without problems
motocross25 Thanks this. -
Sittin in Memphis this has an 11:30 pm unload appointment. Reload tomorrow morning in Wyne AR and drag them up to Charidan, IA. My dispatch called today to give me the heads up about it. He said it's a reefer load, and it's potatoes. I didn't know potatoes had to be refrigerated. Maybe I misunderstood. Or maybe I didn't and I'm just stupid and everyone else except me knows potatoes have to be refrigerated in transit.
Suspect Zero and Shock Therapy Thank this.
