I've seen the name Baylor on the road, but never paid them much attention. That's until I saw a semi trailer that was basically a rolling advert saying they guarantee a minimum of $1,000/week. Is there any catch to that? If I can get that in writing, I'll put up with a governed truck and e-logs. Has anyone on here worked for them, and if so, what are they like to work for. Right now, I'm working like a slave and getting less than half of that $1k/week.

Also, if there is another company that you'd recomend that guarantees a minimum weekly pay of $1k, I'd like to know about it.

    Thanks in advance.

There are some YouTube videos saying the company is the place to be. Unfortunately the guy who is creating them just came from a starter company and has been there maybe a month, and just my 2 cents, but anyone who just walked in the door from a starter company would not tell you how great the company is that just hired them, who knows what will happen in 6 months, or a year.
I would call and ask for a copy of the agreement that states they will pay you a minimum. See if they send it, if not, run as fast as you can.

Pay guarantees are becoming more and more common but the are riddled with conditions, qualifiers and fine print so small you need an electron microscope to bring it into focus. Just another version of the sign on bonus...if they gotta offer it, why? Do your due diligence.

I can't believe any company's pay is less than $1000 gross/week. I wouldn't be otr for any less than that, it's not worth it. I drive for Crete, and average way more than that.

Most of the so called "sign on bonuses" are not sign on bonuses at all. A sign on bonus is money you get for signing on for employment. The bonuses these companies are doing are retention bonuses because you don't see the full amount for 6-12 months.

As shown on the post below, a Trans Am driver earned $32,500 for the year, (1/1/2016 to 12/31/2016), averaging $625 a week. Hi mileage pay was 31 cents a mile.

To make it easier to find, I boldfaced the information posted below.
