Closest terminal to my house is Deland. Hoping I’m not kept close to there. If I wanted to stay close to home all the time I wouldn’t be running OTR.
My first couple months with Shaffer / Crete

If you’re OTR there’s no money to be made if you can’t put a whole lot of gone between you and the homestead

I had to look in the terminal book to see where Deland is. I've never been there. I have been into Florida a few times, heading to the Ft. Pierce, Kissimmee, Tampa areas, but it is uncommon. I can't say how much time you will spend in Florida, but I doubt you will be stuck there - if they needed drivers for regional work, they would hire for regional work, since it pays less per mile to the driver.Last edited: Feb 14, 2018
x1Heavy, Vic Firth and ilikepizza247 Thank this. -
I’m considering having them route me to Deland for hometime, parking the truck there and just commuting home from there. It would be cheaper than paying for a place to park the truck in my hometown. Taking it to the house has never been an option.

Quick question... can you go off the beaten path and find a real laundrymat at Crete/Shaffer? Take 2/3 hours to do laundry?
I’m a runner as well and not sure if Crete or Shaffer allows that. Thanks in advance.x1Heavy Thanks this. -
