Omaha NE on the yard.
Late afternoon the US 34 opened, I-76 was still closed.
Took the scenic route to Kearney NE, stopped for fuel in Wood River and the pumps were dark. No fuel? I didn't ask, went to Grand Island. What a mess, trucks parked everywhere, on the shoulder of the highway around the Pilot, the yard was a big mess, hardly got in and out.
I-80 is still closed westbound at Grand Island.
Time to sleep...Shock Therapy, motocross25 and Farmerbob1 Thank this. -
I hear that the dining facilities (along with the menus) up in the Donner area are unsurpassed.Shock Therapy Thanks this.

Back in L.A.
I'm so tired of these high winds, Monday on I-70 and I-15 gusts up to 70 mph, my arms and shoulders hurt
And this morning:
Cedar City UT, winter storm, as soon as I was in St. George the weather changed and it was sunny.
Stopped in Mesquite NV to get some groceries and when I came back to the truck I had a crack in the windshield from the bottom to the top, right in front of me in my vision.
Got the windshield changed in Las Vegas, cost me 4.5 hrs.
Made it to L.A. with just a few minutes left on my 14.
Have 3 drops tomorrow and then, let's see.motocross25, Rugerfan, Shock Therapy and 1 other person Thank this. -
Jamestown NM.
Made my three drops in L.A. yesterday morning and was empty before noon.
Went to Arvin CA to pick up for Topeka KS, had to wait two hrs, the load wasn't ready.
Made it to Peggy Sue's Diner near Barstow last night with three minutes left on my 14
Checked the weather forecast yesterday and it doesn't look good for I-70 in Utah and Colorado, decided to take I-40 and US 54 to Kansas, despite the high wind warning for Arizona today. With about 78k gross it wasn't a problem, just a bit Wyoming feeling with 65 mph crosswinds
Chasing my 70 again and deliver on Saturday morning.
I-5 near Grapevine, the red color is not a wildfire, the wildflowers are blooming in the hills
Rugerfan, Shock Therapy, Farmerbob1 and 1 other person Thank this. -
