I currently drive with Werner but been looking into Western Express, I have a year 6 month experience I don't have other many options because of a careless ticket in March in my personal vehicle. Besides that does Western Express make u fuel where they tell you to for X amount of gallons? With Werner I can stop anywhere I want to and do my own fuel routed that's on the fuel network for however much fuel I need not a X amount. I only been looking at them because the Western Regional account with Werner I get stuck out east for weeks at a time. Feedback please
Western Express or Werner

If it were me, I'd stay with Werner...Rug_Trucker, drvrtech77, mattymatt and 6 others Thank this. -
Stick with Werner for 2 reasons.
1 - You have a job
2 - Longevity will look better on your record.
3 - The comparison is like rotten apples, or rotten fish.
Whoops, that was 3 reasons.Rug_Trucker, New/OldSchoolTrucker89, D.Tibbitt and 4 others Thank this. -

Agree with others-stay with Werner. I have and never will drive for Western Xpress, but have heard too much negative news about them and you are not improving any.
On another note: At one time, Werner was a top company and would not even think of hiring a driver unless they had a full years experience. They did not have driving schools and had only 'old school' type drivers. The advent of the mega carriers and driver training programs instituted by JB Hunt and others cut into Werner's profit, and cheaper rates meant lost freight. They (Werner) were actually drug down to the state of a 'run of the mill' company by the likes of the megas.Ghost719 Thanks this. -
It's a long story cop and I had bad history with each other I'm middle school his girlfriend left him for me and ever since then it's been a battle he makes it seem he actually had been suspended when I was a trouble maker still who ended up busted up my nose and breaking my arm said I was resisting arrest his partner turned him in when he pulled me over he slapped me with a careless because I touched the white line on the shoulder it was a complete mess u would have to see my dash cam it was bull but I lost judge took his side

Wow man......it's better for you to just stay out here. You won't get in as much trouble on the road, unless you do something stupid. I worked at Western out of trucking school on the flatbed side. I did ok there. Lots of miles, little sometime. OTR trucking is OTR trucking, with minor differences. Every company has an jambassador and every company has a whiner, both in large numbers. It takes time out on the road to make legit money as an OTR company driver. You could call Western and at least hear what they have to say. Me personally, I would ride it out with Werner because you're familiar with them. Its better the devil you know. They have pretty nice equipment. Keep your options open though. It never hurts to put feelers out there.Trucker61016 and Ghost719 Thank this.
