A lot of their equipment looks ragged, and I’ve seen a lot of training company stupidity by them. The best thing SRT could do for the industry is to close its doors.

I also recall in one of the “trucking” newspapers that some big company was hiring an analytical firm to figure out why so many drivers were leaving...that tells me volumes. If those larger outfits have to hire some analyst to figure that out, instead of saving money by simply asking drivers why they are leaving and LISTENING to their complaints(within reason) then obviously the upper management people at those places are the problem.

The bigger the carrier the less they know which end is which. But they will hire people to alleviate that issue, but the office personal they hire don't know what they were hired for? And most about 99% have never even spent 1 minute in a big truck. People in the office need to know what the company was founded on. And what the trucking industry is, for starters.

Maybe trucking got to this crazy point in time because of driver pay structure at cents per mile pay, hmmm?
Maybe if drivers were paid on percentage things would be different?
I have more thoughts but I don't feel like sharing any more I'm upset now. I'm done trucking any way I can not accept the elog and living to satisfy that pos. Class of 2008 and now I wish I never started driving. 30 day more and I'm finding other things to do.

SRT?? Read about what they did when a driver died in his truck at a truckstop about 3 years ago.. they left his body stranded there; wouldn’t help his family get him home.... f—- that! I wouldn’t ever touch any of that company! That was truly horrible.. the family said they would pay them back if they would help get his body back home; but, nope: left him stranded in the morgue...

The good news is that drivers are making better choices and apparently is creating a problem for SRT. It is not a career it is a choice.

I volunteered to work half a day today. That makes me a professional, don’t it?

I mean, I could’ve been home learning the nuances of chewing a nylabone from my Poodle.
