Go sign on with FxG. Fastest set of doubles on the interstate.

I'm with Transport America. 62 on the pedal, 65 on the cruise. 70 would be cool for rural driving but 65 is better than my last company.

I'm so used to going 65 I don't think I would go past 65 even if I could. Maybe 70 to pass.

    We run 66 pedal/68 cruise.

  8. 1999 they changed the law and posted speed limits. It was nice to get out on the open road and roll 85+. The Hood's would smooth out after 75.

Buy your own truck and set the speed at whatever you want. My truck is wide open, but 99% of the time I set the cruise on 72 it seems to be ideal for staying away from the pack. It is nice to be able to mash on it and get away from some jerk that's messing with you. I have a lot less road rage that way.

    Fuelinmyveins and peterbilt_2005 Thank this.

If you think about it, it really doesn't matter how fast your truck runs. There will always be one guy ahead of you that runs half a mile per hour slower than you and won't let you pass.

MACK E-6 and speedyk Thank this.

I get paid by the hour, but with the new elogs regs, and our safety dept deny of any HOS extension, If I have a feeling I will short on hrs, its mash the motor time.
